It first opened in March, 2015. The Auburn Democratic Town Committee applied for and was awarded a 2016 grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council via the Auburn Cultural Council to conduct a group trip to the EMK Institute at Columbia Point in the Dorchester section of Boston. The award will be used for no cost admission to the bus group attendees.
The day trip is planned for Saturday, April 9th, leaving promptly at 10 am and returning by 4:00 pm. Ages 8 – 80+ are welcome and encouraged to take advantage of this informative visit in this presidential election year. Any person under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
The admission to the Institute is covered by the grant award. The cost for the coach bus transportation will be $16.00 per person. Two hours will be allotted at the EMK institute and there will be a 50 minute stop in the Copley Square area of Boston on the return trip.
