During Senior Night on Saturday, the Auburn Girls Hockey team recognized six seniors who were about to play their final game: Hunter Bailey, Nicole Berthiaume, Julia Crowley, Ann Marie Graves, Katie Mason, and Samantha Moreau.

It is hard to end the season playing the top team, or any other team in the Central/West Conference, since the Rockets are 0-8. Looking forward to next year, it would be nice if Auburn faced teams that were of a closer skill level. You can only get beat up on the playground so many times…

Shrewsbury was ahead of the Rockets, 6-0, in the second period until Nicole Bousquet scored with less than two minutes left in the period. She was assisted by Crowley and Mason.

The Colonials added two more in the third period, but Mason concluded her high school career with one more goal and under a minute left in the game. Crowley and Bousquet earned the assists. Goal keepers Graves and Colleen Fellows totaled 44 saves for the Rockets. Auburn had a final record of 7-12.
