kolofskyEsther S. (Govina) Kolofsky, of Auburn, died Monday, February 8, 2016 in Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an illness.

Esther was born and raised in Dudley, daughter of the late Domenic and Stasia (Stawicki) Govina. She met and married James Kolofsky in Webster and they moved to Auburn in 1946, where she was a stay at home mom and raised her children.

She was a member of Saint Joseph’s Parish in Auburn. Esther enjoyed yardsale with her friends, playing bingo and she was a member of many bowling leagues throughout the years.

Her husband, James E. Kolofsky., Sr. died in 2000. She leaves her two children, James E. Kolofsky., Jr. and his wife, Jayne of Auburn and Janice P. Antetomaso and her husband, Anthony of Marathon, Florida; a grandson, Bruce Antetomaso and his wife, Joanne of Auburn and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Esther was predeceased by a sister, Rita Govina of Dudley.

Calling hours for Esther will be on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 9:00-10:30 AM in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM in Saint Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street, North. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
