For the 60th year, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), is tracking Santa as he traverses the globe bringing gifts to all the good little boys and girls.
You can follow his progress in real time here: Santa Progress.
As the story goes, a Sears store in Colorado Springs placed a newspaper advertisement, but a number was transposed in the printed telephone number. The number that was printed went instead to the Colorado Springs’ Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD) Center. The staff that night were instructed to give children a location for Santa, thus beginning a tradition that has continued through the use of volunteers and web technology for 60 years now.
Enjoy the magic of the season.
