When the Spartans’ field hockey squad showed up last Friday, they came ready to play, at least from a defensive perspective. It took the Rockets nearly 40 minutes to put a point on the board, but they did prevail, 3-0.

Molly Cutting scored the first goal assisted by Jackie Clark with 20:03 left in the second half. At 7:37, Hanna Harris sank the ball with Jess Clifford assisting, and at 3:57, Clifford shot a goal of her own with an Anna Matthews assist.

Abby Lucas earned her 11th shut out of the season, but she only had to make one save. The Rockets are now 15-0 and will face Shrewsbury tonight at 7:00 tonight. They play Oakmont on Wednesday at 5:50pm and conclude their regular season away at Northbridge on Friday.
