When Holy Name was added to the varsity schedule this year, I’m confident Auburn coaches hoped for another competitive match. When the teams met last Friday, that wasn’t the case, and the Rockets were up 6-0 at the half. The handful of offensive drives by the Naps was easily repelled by the Auburn defense.

In the second half, core varsity members were on the field for Auburn, but the bench and many JV players took to the field as well. There were a lot of teaching moments for the younger players during this contest, and the Rockets did extend their lead to 8-0.

Jackie Clark led the home team with a hat trick while Shannon Hynes earned two goals. Colleen Fellows, Kileigh Hynes, and Molly Cutting each had a goal as well.
