An intense first inning put the Rockets up 5-0, and they would not relinquish the lead for the balance of their semi-final game against Blackstone Valley Tech. After the Beavers walked in the first Auburn run, a triple by TJ Medlin drove in the three left on base. A wild pitch then allowed Medlin to score the fifth run of the inning.

The major stopping point for Blackstone Valley Tech was second base where Josh Tower and Shortstop Conor Scully made some spectacular plays. Few runners made it past this hot spot, and the Beavers barely eked out the 3 runs they scored.

The Rockets will face Northbridge in the MIAA Central Division 3 Final on Saturday. The time and location have not been determined.

Auburn Mass Daily will provide a complete story and slide show on Friday.
