In a brief ceremony on Monday afternoon, Auburn senior Scott Williams signed his National Letter of Intent with Assumptions College. Williams has been an impressive soccer player for many years, but it is indoor track and track & field where he really shines. Track is his college sport of choice.

In his last three meets with Auburn, Williams has won four events: long jump, high jump, 100 meter, and 200 meter. Scott also has his sights on breaking some school records. His current best is 21’3” in the long jump, but he’s confident he can top the 21’10” record.

He has even a better chance of beating the 22.6-second record for the 200 meter since his best to far is 22.8 seconds. Williams will join teammate Dillon Bruso at Assumption in the fall.

Williams was joined by family, friends, and teammates including his mother Susan Williams, Acting Athletic Director Brian Davis, and Assistant Principal Eileen Donahue.

Williams intends to major in philosophy and Auburn Mass Daily wishes him the best in his academic and athletic pursuits.
