In the 2015 Annual Town Election, the incumbents were reelected and Assistant Town Clerk Debra Gremo was elected to replace the retiring Town Clerk.
“I’m thrilled with the results all around” said Selectman Doreen Goodrich. “The residents have confidence in their elected officials.”
Said reelected Selectman Ken Holstrom of the three way race, “I never take anything for granted. I thank the people of Auburn for their support.”
George Scobie of the School Committee thanked his supporters as well as his colleagues. “I’m honored to be on this committee. We work great together to make things better for the students of Auburn.”
“George [Scobie] said it all” said Dorothy Sutton. “But I would add ‘thank you, thank you, thank you.” Sutton was appointed to the School Committee in August 2014 to fill the seat vacated by former member, Jeff Lourie. Lourie moved to Uxbridge where he serves as the Chief of Police. Sutton was also the third place vote-getter in the May 2014 Auburn Town Election, a race separated by just 21 votes. This time, Sutton ran to fill the remainder of the term, which will expire in May 2016.
