“Celebrating 20 Years with the Red Sox”

In Celebrating 20 Years with the Boston Red Sox, author Herb Crehan recounts the 20 seasons he has spent writing for the team’s official program, Red Sox Magazine. During his time with the ball club he has interviewed and written feature articles on more than 125 former Red Sox stars. His presentation focuses on 25 of his favorite interviews and includes little know facts and anecdotes. Celebrating 20 Years with the Boston Red Sox gives fans a behind-the scenes look at what the players are really like and what goes on in the clubhouse.

Herb Crehan is in his 20th season as a contributing writer for the Boston Red Sox. He has written well over 125 feature articles for the team’s official program. He is the author of Lightning in a Bottle: The Sox of ’67, and the Red Sox Heroes of Yesteryear. Crehan speaks extensively on Boston baseball history including appearances at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY, WBZ radio, NPR’s “All Things Considered,”, and numerous Society of Baseball Research (SABR) meetings. Bone Density Screenings for Osteoporosis

FREE for seniors age 60 and over. VNA Care Network & Hospice will offer this program with funding provided by a grant from the Central Massachusetts Agency on Aging with funds from Title III of the Older American’s Act. Blood Pressure Clinics
1st and 3rd Fridays from 9:00-10:30am
First come, first served. This service is proved at no charge by our local Auburn Visiting Nurses and includes checking your blood pressure, pulse and weight.

Muscle Building Class
The following Mondays from 1:00-2:00pm: May 4 & 18, June 1, 15 and 29 Muscle Building is a seated class taught with tubing (bands) that incorporates stomach exercises, leg exercises and hand exercises. The class also includes balance cardio and a brief intro to urine control. This class is both for the active and sedentary lifestyles. The class will be taught by Charlene Harper, Master Trainer, Course Writer & Health Educator. $3 per class. This is drop in class, you do not need to pre-register, but may if you wish at 508-832-7799. You do not need to attend every class.
