AUBURN- Leona J. (Dube) Laliberte passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the age of 62. Her husband, Alfred Laliberte died in 1998. She leaves her two daughters, Kimberley A. Perry of York, SC and Nicole M. Laliberte of Barre; two brothers, Gerald Dube of Worcester and Daniel Dube of Dudley; two sisters, Joan Morse of Ocala, FL and Dorothy Champagne of Auburn; eight grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Two brothers, Paul Dube and Lawrence Dube both predeceased her.
Leona was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Raymond and Josephine (Stearns) Dube. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1971, worked for Masterman’s for several years and was owner and operator of AA Affordable Pet Grooming here in Auburn. Leona had a love for woodworking and could always be found engrossed in a new building project around her home. She was a very talented and hard-working woman who enjoyed a wide variety of things like gardening, motorcycles and even being involved at her parish of St. Ann’s as an Extraordinary minister. She will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Leona’s family on Monday, March 9, 2015 from 9-10 AM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Her funeral service will be on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 11 AM at St. Anne’s Church, N. Oxford, MA. Burial to follow at Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.
