Model railroad shows are an important component of the hobby for people who participate including modelers, vendors, clubs and manufacturers. The last Sunday in February is a well-established date for the Worcester Model Railroaders when they hold their annual show in Auburn.

I dropped by on Sunday to chat with some old friends and see how things were going after another snowstorm. Although it was still messy, the warm temperature and sun convinced a lot of folks to knock the snow off their boots and visit.

The centerpiece of this show is the modular layout belonging to the Amherst Railway Society. Between great modeling and running trains, this was a sight for young eyes. Have a look.
