More seniors are needed for the Financial Fitness Program that begins next Wednesday at the Senior Center. The National Council on Aging has chosen the Lorraine Gleick Norgren Senior Center as one of three senior centers in the country to pilot a new financial education component of a program called the Aging Mastery Program.

This program is not only free to older adults but also offers financial rewards to those who participate in at least two of the three programs and the associated action steps. A $10 or $20 Shaws gift card will be presented at the conclusion of the series.

Participants will help provide feedback on the program development and learn more about money management, avoiding scams, and planning for the future. Refreshments will be served at each session.

The sessions are: Money Management Skills, January 14th at 1:00pm; Financial Planning, January 21st at 1:00pm; and How to Prevent Financial Abuse, January 28th at 1:00pm.

To register or for more information, contact the Senior Center at 508-832-7799. Preregistration is required.
