After every high school sports season, the Telegram & Gazette publishes their Hometeam All-Star list. For the fall of 2014, many Auburn athletes were recognized for success.

Senior Mark Wright was named an all-star running back in football. Wright broke the Central Mass record of 2,482 by totaling 2,607 rushing yards this season. Senior Dillon Bruso received an honorable mention.

In field hockey, Junior Shannon Hynes was named an all-star defender. She scored 6 goals and had one assist this season. Senior Carly Zona and Sophomore Kileigh Hynes received an honorable mention.

Sophomore Jianna Baroni was named an all-star forward in Girls Soccer. She was tied in first place with 53 points, 36 goals and 17 assists. Sophomore Colleen Cutting received an honorable mention.

Making the all-star boys golf team were Senior David Roy and Junior Jack Scavone. Roy placed fourth in the Central Mass. Division 2 Tournament while Scavone finished third.

In girls soccer, Jianna Baroni made the All-State team and also made the Central Mass. D3 team along with Colleen Cutting and Symantha Brothers. The SWCL team included Baroni, Cutting, Brothers and Erin Burke. Emily Sarkisian made the second team.

Scott Williams and Steven Racine made the SWCL team for boys soccer.

Jack Scavone and Dave Roy were named to the SWCL golf team, and Victor Balkus made the second team.

In field hockey, the SWCL team included Carly Zona, Casey Gurlitz, Jordan Lavallee, Shannon Hynes and Kileigh Hynes.

Auburn Mass Daily congratulates all these athletes for their dedication to their sports. All of their teammates also deserve recognition for their hard work and Rocket pride.
