150x284-3183459AUBURN- Anna S. (Stuetzle) Skliutas, 88, longtime Auburn resident passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 in Hampton, New Hampshire after an illness.

Her husband of 41years, John Skliutas died in November 1990. She leaves her son, John Skliutas and his wife, Cynthia of Clifton Park, New York and a daughter, Irene Smith and her husband, Thomas of Newfields, New Hampshire; and three granddaughters, Rachel, Sarah and Jenna Skliutas.

Anna was born, raised and schooled in Biberach, Germany; she immigrated to the United States with her husband in 1950.

Anna worked for the former Shawmut Bank for over 22 years before retiring in 1990 and was a founding member of North American Martyr’s Church. She was an avid traveler visiting much of the United States and Europe. Anna also enjoyed oil painting, knitting, and crocheting. She volunteered many years at Easter Seals and in later years donated her time at the church knitting Comfort Shawls for patients with cancer and blankets for babies born with HIV.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Anna’s family on Sunday, January 4, 2015 from 5-7 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Her funeral will be on Monday January 5, 2015 with a funeral Mass at 10 AM in North American Martyr’s Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.
