Lorraine Helen (Wiley) Brzozy was born in Natick, MA on September 4, 1952, daughter of the late Florence (Rogers) and Arnold Wiley.
She spent her early years in Auburn, MA and graduated from Auburn High School in 1971. After high school Lorraine attended Salter College graduating in 1973.
While in college Lorraine worked for a number of medical practices in the Worcester area. She married Richard Brzozy in 1973 and continued her career at the University of Maine where she was an Executive Assistant to the Director of the school. Lorraine followed her husband’s career to New York City, Dallas and Chicago.
She spent her time raising a family and volunteering with local schools and church.
Lorraine is survived by her husband Richard, son Bryan, daughter Kimberly, and two grandsons in Naperville, IL, her brother David Wiley, of Thompson, Ct, sisters Janet Holbrook of Webster, MA, and Carol and her husband Ed Connole of Leicester, MA, mother-in-law Halina Grinkiewicz, brother-in-law Stanley Brzozy of Millbury, MA, aunts Ruth Rogers and Pat Slamin as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her infant sister Virginia.
Lorraine succumbed to complications from Multiple Sclerosis which she courageously fought for many years. She passed away on December 21, 2014 in her sleep at home while surrounded by her loving family, her loving caregivers, and hospice providers. Her passing was emblematic of her life where she never complained and took joy from being at home with her family and loved ones. She will be sorely missed.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 29 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:30 in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St, Auburn, MA with interment following at Hillside Cemetery in Auburn, MA.
