It’s a shame that Auburn had to go so far for a “Thanksgiving Day” opponent after Oxford quit the long-term tradition last year. In 2013, it was no big deal since Northeast Metro Tech came to Auburn on a rainy Tuesday night and lost 34-26.

This year, game time is 6:00pm, and Wakefield will not be easy to get to. At least the weather looks good. Thanksgiving morning might be a little more challenging.

As the Rockets wrap up their season on the road, it is a good time to reflect on the major accomplishments of senior Mark Wright. Coach Jeff Cormier said Wright has broken the AHS rushing record – points, touchdowns, and career rushing yards. And, there is still one more game to go.

After the Rocket 48-20 victory over Clinton on November 14th, Wright was given the game ball, and Alumnus Jake Guertin was in attendance to celebrate Wright’s records. Guertin has held the rushing record since 2005.

By the numbers:
Guertin: 551 carries; 4710 yards; 8.5 yards/carry; 56 TD’s; and 5 2-point conversions for a total of 346 Points.

Wright: 597 carries; 5468 yards; 9.18 yards/carry; 61 TD’s and 12 2-point conversions for a total of 390 points.

Good luck tonight guys. Let’s end the season on a high note.
