As National Fire Prevention Month, winds down, the Auburn Fire Rescue Department held its annual open house last Saturday at Drury Square. Children of all ages visited and took part in many fun and educational activities including spraying a fire hose, using a fire extinguisher to put out a blaze, and taking a ride in the bucket of Tower 1.

There was also free pizza provided by Papa Gino’s, and the stack of empties on the apparatus floor meant a lot of folks made this a lunch visit. Sometimes, photographs tell the story better than words. This is one of those cases.
