The Auburn Fastpitch Softball League kicked off their Fall Ball Season for 2014 with great success. Over 50 girls signed up to play recreational softball this fall. The season started earlier in September and will run until the end of October.
The girls softball league’s President, Christopher Diguette commented, “The response to our fall ball season has been outstanding. We are so thrilled to have girls from town choosing to play softball during a season where in the past softball was never offered. We can’t wait to build off this for the spring recreational softball season which will start in April of 2015.”
This was the league’s first year with open enrollment for Fall Ball. Five teams were formed and are now playing. Auburn Fastpitch has also opened enrollment for the Spring 2015 Recreational Season.
Auburn Fastpitch Softball is the only dedicated girls’ sports league in town. The softball league has served girls from ages 5 to 16 for over 25 years. The league belongs to ASA which is the premier softball organization for youth, high school, college, international and Olympic softball.
