Boy Scouts to Hold Food and Bottle Drive

Auburn Boy Scout Troop 101 will be starting a Scouting for Food drive on Saturday, Nov  1 as well as a Bottle and Can Drive to help support Auburn Historical Society.  The troop will be at the Auburn Fire Station Saturday, Nov 1. from 9AM-1PM to accept your donated food for a local food pantry, as well as returnable beverage containers to help support the Auburn Historical Society.  If you have a larger donation of either and you would like a pickup, please call Mike 508-769-7405, or Paul 774-633-4453.  The troop thanks you for all contributions.

 

Auburn Historical Society’s Monthly Meeting Oct. 21

The Auburn Historical Society’s monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 21 at 6:30pm at the Auburn Senior Center, 4 Goddard Drive. Featured program will be “The History of Pakachoag Church” presented by Rev. Dennis Knight. The meetings are are free and open to the public. Refreshments served. “Sweet Case” Build to Benefit Foster Children

There will be a “Sweet Case” build event at Bethel Lutheran Church, 90 Bryn Mawr Ave., on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 10:30am.  All are welcome to help assemble “Sweet Cases” which will be donated to the Whitinsville DCF.  The event is the culmination of an online fund raising drive organized by Tonya M. (last name withheld by request), in memory of her foster son, Faith, a Bryn Mawr student who passed last October 19.  over $1,000 was raised to purchase, decorate and fill these Sweet Cases that will be distributed to children being placed into foster care.
