75 students participate on the Auburn Middle School Cross Country team under Coach Shari Goudreau and assistant Kathy Lutz. While only the top 15 girls and top 15 boys travel to away meets. All run at home. Last Friday, both teams won their 8th meet against Knox Trail. The girls won 20-60, and the top runner was Ally Anusauskas with a time of 11:09. The runners that followed were Mia DelloStritto, Allie Morawski, Julia Lussier, and Alexis McGrail. The boys beat Knox Trail 15-66, and Marcus LaPointe had the lead at 10:02. Michael Bean, Dan Lindblom, Jason Henry, and Timothy Walsh followed.

Yesterday, both teams were victorious over Oxford. The boys won 21-34, and the top runners were Michael Bean, Dan Lindblom, Jason Henry, Drew Lemansky, and Bryce Kennedy. The girls won 21-47, and their leaders were Ally Anasaukas, Allie Morawski, Mia DelloStritto, Alexis McGrail, and a tie with Michaela Sampson and Rachel Ullstrom. The teams face Millbury next Tuesday and then compete in the Tantasqua Invitational on Thursday. Both teams are 9-0 on the season.
