The Auburn Mall hosted a Touch-A-Truck event last Saturday, and for 4 hours, area children were in their glory as they climbed into and explored emergency, construction and other vehicles. Horns were very popular, especially the air horn in a Coca-Cola tractor-trailer. There was also face painting, a bounce house and a visit from Jake the Lion of the Worcester Bravehearts.

In total, 471 attended the event and $2,167 was raised for charity. The proceeds will be equally split between the Simon Youth Foundation and the Auburn Junior Woman’s Club which continues to raise funds to replace the community sign in front of Fire Headquarters.
