Relay for Life of Central South County will be having their 11th two day fundraiser to fight cancer from Friday evening to Saturday at noon. Everyone is invited to participate in the fun, ceremonies, the walk around the track, and purchasing food and items being sold by teams. This is a community celebration of those battling cancer and those we have all known who lost their battles. Survivors are invited to walk their own lap and enjoy a special dinner in their honor.

A highlight of the Relay is always the Drawing Tent which includes as many as 70 baskets and certificates.  A free door prize will include a tree filled with over $150 worth of scratch tickets. Prizes have been donated by teams and generous merchants in the area.

Also, the 2015 Entertainment Book for Worcester County is available now . Once again, it is being sold to benefit Relay For Life to fight cancer. Copies will be available at the Drawing Tent at the Relay for $25 each. Come by and check one out.  They are also available from Chet Stencel at 508 832-4954 or email roechet@charter.net.   You can order a book from any area of the US in case you want one delivered to a friend or relative. You can  use the book starting immediately up through December 2015. They make great gifts and have something for everyone in the family.

As of today, the 34 participating teams have raised nearly $49,792, and are certain to break the $50K mark again.

Opening ceremonies will begin about 6pm Friday, at the Lemansky Park track featuring several speakers and a time of remembrance.  All are welcome to join the events.
