BOSTON- Senator Michael O. Moore (D-Millbury) will be hosting a firearm safety and education day on Saturday, September 13. The event is being co-hosted by the Gun Owners’ Action League (GOAL), the Auburn Sportsman’s Club, Smith & Wesson and Kahr Arms.

“This fall I will once again be hosting my annual firearm safety and education day at the Auburn Sportsman’s Club. This event gives participants interested in applying for their LTC card through, hands on firearm safety instruction in a fun and friendly environment,” stated Senator Moore. “I would like to thank GOAL, the Auburn Sportsman’s Club, Smith & Wesson and Kahr Arms for helping to host this event. Space is very limited and filling up fast. I encourage anyone interested in participating to register today.”

The event will be held from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the Auburn Sportsman’s Club located at 50 Elm Street in Auburn. Participants will receive hands on instruction on proper gun, rifle and shotgun use by the friendly and knowledgeable staff at the Auburn Sportsman’s Club. No previous experience is necessary. Following the event, participants will be eligible to apply for a Massachusetts License to Carry (LTC) card.

The event is free and includes equipment, student texts and lunch and refreshments. To attend, you must be 18 years of age or older.
