The annual Memorial Day Parade organized by the Chester P. Tuttle American Legion Post delighted young and old, while serving as a reminder and tribute to Americans who have served their country.

The contingent from the Tuttle Post led the parade, following an Auburn PD cruiser and motorcycle. The Auburn High Marching Band, the Auburn Middle School marching band, and several Melha Shriners contingents provided the patriotic music. The Shriners also entertained with their miniature cars and collection of classic cars.

Several local dignitaries marched, as did a number of Cub Scout, Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops.

Parade-goers lined Auburn St. and Central Street all the way from Rockland Rd. to Hillside Cemetery, with the Auburn CERT team doing yeoman’s work controlling traffic and making sure the throngs could cross the busy roads safely.

Again, the Chester P. Tuttle Post and the Town of Auburn did a remarkable job honoring our heroes.
