Auburn High School will be presenting Footloose next Friday and Saturday, March 14th and 15th. Footloose is a 1998 musical based on the 1984 film starring Kevin Bacon.
Senior Matthew Bissaillon plays the male lead Ren McCormack, a Chicago teen who moves with his mother to rural “Beaumont” where dancing is outlawed. After befriending Ariel Moore, played by junior Tayla Foulkrod, and other classmates, Ren stages a revolution to bring back dancing.
Auburn’s show is produced by AHS music teacher Virginia Bailey who also serves as Music Director. Co-Directors are Eric von Bleicken and Krissi Forgues. The show is choreographed by Nick LaPete, and the Student Director is Carolyn Jeffries.
This is sure to be a fun evening, and tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased at the door for the performances which will start promptly at 7:00pm.
