At 12:39 am this morning Auburn Fire Rescue was requested mutual aid to the Town of Oxford for a 3 alarm structure fire at 253 Main St.

Auburn dispatched two engines to the scene as well as Car 1. One of the engine companies served as the RIT for the incident.

The fire eventually made it to 5 alarms. Auburn FF Troy Arcouette, he was opening up the wall on the “C” side of the building. Also on scene assisting Oxford with the fire were the Towns of Charlton, Leicester, Sutton and Webster.

Several firefighters suffered slips and falls from icy conditions, and one Firefighter was transported from the scene to the hospital for evaluation after a fall.
