The Auburn Office of Emergency Management is seeking new members to join the Citizen’s Emergency Response Team (CERT).
Interested applicants must be eighteen or older and in good physical health. No prior emergency training is needed. Training will be at no cost to the applicant. There will be an application process and background check.
CERT members are trained to respond to events and incidents at the local level to assist established emergency services. While not trained to the level of those services, CERT members receive basic training which allows them to supplement emergency responders as needed.
The next CERT class is slated to begin on March 25, 2014 and will run for 8 consecutive weeks. If interested in joining the CERT please e-mail Tony Pellegrino at email@example.com
