Pakachoag Music School is holding a Parent Information Session for their popular Suzuki program.

What is Suzuki? The Suzuki approach to learning and teaching is a specialized method based on the philosophy that “every child can”. In the Suzuki approach, teacher, parent, and child can learn to play a musical instrument.

Suzuki’s approach is modeled after the manner in which we learn to speak, through listening and imitation.  Students learn how the instrument works through a set of variations of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, and then begin learning songs by ear.  Music reading instruction begins later, after some playing skill have been established.

Students attend both a private and group lesson each week and are expected to listen to music and practice every day. Parents are required to attend all lessons and practice at home with their child.
