At Wednesday’s Dual Meet #6 – West, Auburn faced the only other schools in SWCL Central, Shepherd Hill and Tantasqua Regionl. Both are large D1 schools and generally provide tough competition in any sport.

Wednesday was the first and only time this season that the Rockets faced the Rams and Warriors. Auburn defeated Shepherd Hill 47.5 – 38.5 and prevailed over Tantasqua 56 – 30.

Auburn claimed first place in four out of ten events: Scott Williams in the 300 meter dash, Aiden Foley-Foster in the 1 mile run, Dillon Bruso in the shot put, and Rocket team in the 4×200 relay. Combined with the many 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th finishes, Auburn’s numbers totaled the highest.

Head Coach Jason Bergman said, “This season speaks volumes about our student athletes here at Auburn. These kids worked hard everyday, they came in Saturdays and worked late at night when needed.” “I am so proud of them and very excited for them to continue their success this season.

Detailed results will be posted tomorrow for both the boys and girls. Upcoming meets are the SWCL league, Division 2 Districts, and Division 4 States.

Auburn Mass Daily extends our congratulations. Great effort.
