Santa Claus stopped in for a brief visit in the ACTV studio at Auburn High last night. He and his local elf Wayne took calls from 6-8pm. Many excited children picked up

the telephone and hoped they were on the “nice” list.

In haste to get here, Mr. Claus left most of his props at the North Pole, and the ACTV staff had to improvise. They took a photo that Santa had in his pocket, scanned it, and put the jpeg into their computer. Using a green screen in the TV studio, technicians were able to place the photo of Santa’s residence behind him. Fortunately, Mr. Claus did not leave his favorite chair behind.

At the end of the show, technicians put the cameras away and Santa headed to Logan Airport for the flight north. Apparently, they only fly south from Worcester. Santa’s sled is still being tuned up for a very busy Christmas Eve, and the good boys and girls in Auburn will hopefully have all their wishes answered.
