BOSTON- On Friday, November 22nd, Senator Michael Moore was honored by Centro Las Americas and named the organization’s Legislator of the Year. Senator Moore was recognized for his commitment to health and community services.

“I am truly honored to be named the Legislator of the Year by Centro Las Americas,” said Senator Moore. “Organizations, such as Centro Las Americas, are fundamental to the functioning of our neighborhoods. Through services provided, CLA and other similar organizations continue to support and strengthen the foundation of our communities. I am proud to support programs such as these on Beacon Hill.”

Centro Las Americas, founded in 1977, offers services, such as community support, clinical and children and family services in the City of Worcester. CLA operates the second largest food pantry in the city and has earned a reputation as the only Hispanic community service provider.
