The Rockets’ Varsity Field Hockey team won their second game against Grafton in less than a week. Monday’s 3-0 victory followed a 4-0 romp last Tuesday. Less than 3 minutes in, Carly Zona had an unassisted goal, and the half would end with Auburn up 1-0.

Less than 3 minutes into the second, Jamie McNamara would find the net without help. 3 minutes later, Jackie Matthews would seal the game assisted by Lyndsey Gabrielian. “3” seems to be the Rockets’ number in this game. Goalie Kelsey Rudert had 11 saves for the Indians, but it wasn’t enough to hold back the home team. Conversely, Abby Lucas only had to make one save for Auburn.

After the game, Coach Bethann Cormier said, “Grafton gave a real good effort.” She also recognized Grafton’s keeper Rudert as one of the better in the league. At the end of the day Auburn has a 3-0 record, and the Indians are 1-2 in SWCL and 2-2 overall.
