150x171-Flek_DorothyDorothy “Dot” A. (Kehoe) Flek, 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at The Meadows in Leicester.

Dot’s beloved husband of 42 years, Henry J. Flek, passed away in 1991. She leaves her daughter, Carol A. Novakoski and her husband, Andrew of Auburn; two sons, Richard E. Flek and his wife, Nancy of Worcester and Michael A. Flek and his wife, Anita of Charlestown RI; four grandchildren, Allison J. Flek and her husband, Nishon Kachadoorian of Leicester, Kyle A., Ava J. and Anna E. Novakoski of Auburn; sister, Patricia J. VanWert and her husband, Clayton of Tarpon Springs FL; sister-in-law, Hazel E. Kehoe of Tolland CT; former daughter-in-law Melissa A. Flek of Worcester; and many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers George A. and Philip E. Kehoe.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Arthur & Stella (Chamberlin) Kehoe. She lived her entire life in Auburn before moving to Leicester in 2008. She was a longtime member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Auburn.

Dot enjoyed baking, spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. Dot’s family would like to offer special thanks to everyone at The Meadows for their truly wonderful care and support over the past few years.

Friends and relatives are invited to visit with Dot’s family on Monday, September 23, 2013 from 4-7 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St. Auburn. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The Meadows Residents’ Council Activity Fund, 111 Huntoon Memorial Highway, Rochdale, MA 01542.
