During their first home game of the season, the Rockets tied Millbury 1-1. The game leaves the Boys team undefeated with a 2-0-1 record. Coach Chris Bailey, while acknowledging there is much work to be done, said, “We played good defensively against one of the better offensive teams we’ll see in the league.”

At 13:43 in the first, junior Scott Williams headed in the ball from a Connor Aubuchont corner. The move caught Millbury’s keeper totally off guard as he made no contact at the net. At 33:44 in the second, Millbury’s Alfred Koroma tied it up for the Woolies. The penalty box was well populated as he took a shot that deflected off an Auburn player.

The balance of the game was quite intense as both teams vied for the tie breaking play. As Coach Bailey summarized, “We played a lot of soccer in the last 10 minutes.”
